Hello

machine W10 former 8.1, tv with usb satreceiver,
first problem was: in the last few weeks programming with epg123 and searching dont work, also not manuall recording, watching works well
after uninstall/ new install W8.8.5 watching works and manuall programming works but searching for movies/actors/regiseur don-t
it looks the the database for movie/actors... is empty.

for example i seaarch vor Alfred Hitchcock there comes not one regiseur with a, same with actors....

first i thought i have a hardware prob ..but this looks not logical

i am not a total newbe - have installed on 3 x W7 and 2 other W10 machines and works....

any idea about the missing ?

kind regards

With Win10, you need to make sure indexing is enabled for WMC. Open 'Indexing Options' from control panel and enable it if you need to. Make sure WMC is included in the locations, click the Advanced button, then click the Rebuild button. This will ensure that search/indexing is turned on. You may need to run the WMC indexing again from Task Scheduler (or just run an epg123 guide update again) after it is enabled to be able to see search results in WMC.
