EPG123 how to show channels in WMC with no mapping?

#1

Hi there,

for a few weeks now I am a happy user of EPG123.

One remaining problem is, that I have some radio stations in the program guide where I don't need a mapping in EPG123. If I unsubscribe them from any random mapping of EPG123, they do not show up in WMC anymore.

How can I solve that?

One extra (but not important): I can't get rid off the plus sign in the EPG123 icon at WMC. What is the correct update process of EPG123?

Thanks a million for your support.

I believe that you can "enable" any channel in the EPG123 client tool, even if there are no listings associated with it. You should also be able to "enable" channels within WMC itself.

To upgrade to a newer version of EPG123 is simple...

If your initial install was using the installation package, then just download the latest installation package, unzip it, and run the exe file (the file has "Setup" in it's name even though you are not really setting anything up, just installing) and install as normal. It will do an upgrade install. There should be nothing else to do, no need to run setup or anything like that.

If your initial installation was the portable package, then you download the portable package and unzip it in to the same folder as you did the initial download. Again, that's it, you are done. No need to run any setup.

In order to show a channel with no guide listings, you will need to disable the option to 'Automatically match...' / 'Automatch'. The automatch routine will disable any channel that does not have a guide listing attached. Turning it off will keep your radio stations visible.
