HD Channels in EPG123 guide

#1

Post by jfaunce » Wed Jan 01, 2020 8:33 pm

I am a Comcast customer who has low rest channels in the 1-100 range and High Def in the 7xx series. My EPG123 Guide is only listing for the low def, not the high. Don't want to watch any low def, just the 7xx range. How can I fix this? Thanks

You probably subscribed to the wrong lineup. When you added the lineup in the configuration GUI, if you selected the - Cable lineup, that is typically your low budget 1-100 range channels. If you select the - Digital Cable (or something like that) lineup, then you will get all those upper channel in the lineup.

You were right - I had Comcast Cable, now I have Comcast Digital selected on the right half of the Client screen. It has all the channels and the names appear to match the one on the left. What do I do next?

If you did not have 'Automatically match...' enabled in your configuration GUI, then you will need to click the Match by: [# Number] button to enable the HD channels in the guide and attach guide listings for those channels.

Sorry, I should have specified that you need to have the Digital lineup selected on the right side... if you had the standard Cable lineup then nothing probably happened.

Thanks, Gary. I have the Digital selected on the right. Clicked the # Number button. Do I have to Rebuild the WMC Database? Manual Import? or just close the Client. Do I need to do anything on the Server? Thanks for your Help (I'm 77 and a bit near sighted)

Then you should be good. Have you checked in WMC to see if the channels are enabled with guide listings?

All the 7xx channels are checked under Edit Channels in Tasks. In the Guide all channels, except 718, ho No data available. 718 has Ridiculousness listed (I think it is making fun of me, he, he)

It looks like you may not have downloaded the guide yet. Open EPG123 and click the [Save & Execute] button.
