Schedules Direct Guide Listing quality

#1

Post by gonzo90017 » Thu Nov 28, 2019 3:57 am

I thought that by paying for a schedule's direct subscription we would be getting a better guide then what was being provided by Rovi. But every week there are either errors in the listings or generic descriptions. Last week the college football games on CBS had a generic description. Same for some of the NFL football games. Here is the latest example from today Friday:

Channel: TUDN Time: 7pm pacific time:

When in reality there is a playoff game going on. Here is the correct listing from Zap2it's website:

Normally this wouldn't be a big issue but it seems to be happening more and more. I'm sure i'm not the only one this is happening to..?

I am sorry, but that isn't a Schedules Direct problem... I created this probelm with one of my previous releases.

To get everything back to the way it should be...

1) upgrade to the latest version of EPG123
2) create a new MXF file by using the [Save & Execute] button
3) open the client as Administrator
4) click the [Rebuild WMC Database] button
5) select the new MXF file created on step 2

The downfall of needing to do this is you will lose your recording history, so some of the Repeat shows you recorded previously will be recorded again when they come up.

Again, sorry.

I guess I should note you do not want to be recording anything when you do a database rebuild. I don't know what will happen, but probably nothing good.

Thanks for the detailed instructions. Seems to have fixed the issue.
