Windows Media Center Update Errors - Normal?

#1

Post by mogulman » Fri Oct 11, 2019 1:54 am

After following the guide and configuring EPG123, I get a Windows Media Center Update Error in my tray. Is this normal? Should I uncheck the box for enabling automatic updates? I'm assuming this is related to not agreeing to the guide data part of wmc.

Actually, that is probably the failure to download the nettv package which was discontinued years ago. It is not due to the guide download from MS/Rovi since it will always be successful in downloading nothing which is what it will do if you decline the ToS.

Ok.. I see in the logs, it is nettv that is giving the error. Is it ok to turn this off, or is there something else that gets updated where I might need this?
