My strategy for preserving DRM Recordings

Because there aren't any simple solutions published in the forums for preserving DRM recordings, I have had to put some thought into how I will save my recordings from Premium channels. My strategy will be to just wait until my recordings are on network TV, and re-record them. I'm already doing this with my MKV collection for easy consumption through extenders, and I have setup commercial editing with Video Redo and VAP but MCE buddy is a less expensive option. If someone has DRM on every channel then the best thing I can suggest would be playon but I haven't tested that solution.
