Import .mxf file Fails

#1

Post by sptrainman » Wed Mar 06, 2019 8:17 pm

Hi,

For the last two days, I have had a failure to import the .xmf file reported. Also, my system is showing only 15 days of guide data remaining, but my system is set for 21 days of data.

The last few lines of the log show the following:

Looks like your WMC database is corrupted. Take a look at this post to fix or rebuild it.

Hi,
I had to go all the way to the last step of the procedure in order to correct the problem. I decided while I was at it to update to the latest version of the software.

I am now getting a successful import of the .mxf file. However, I now only have guide data until March 19 which is only 13 days of guide data. I have set up the parameter for 21 days of data. So I have no idea what is wrong there.

I had some problems with the TV Setup procedure as my WMC screen is not the same as what is shown in the guide. There is an option by WMC for automatic or manual update of the guide data. I'm not sure which one to pick. So I am not confident the WMC is not going to corrupt the guide again.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Jerry

Since you updated from a version from quite a while back, you will need to delete and recreate you scheduled task. Be sure to enable the option to "Automatically import ..." in the configuration GUI, or select Full Mode in the client when you create it. I'm thinking that might take care of it.

Gary,

The update ran last night at the scheduled time. However, there does not appear to be any additional data available since yesterday afternoon. I have found that the number of days of data varies with the channel. The latest date I had yesterday afternoon was March 24. It is the same thing this morning, so evidently, the program is getting all the data there is which is less than 21 days.

Thanks,
Jerry

The reason to recreate the task is because the location of the generated output MXF has changed and the old task will point to the old location. Performing a [Save & Execute] from the configuration GUI will work to properly update your guide, but the old task will not.

Could you send me your trace.log file so I can review it? I might be able to determine if there are any other issues.
