Breaking up Media Center code

#1

Post by jtcreate » Sat Jun 18, 2016 10:35 pm

i can understand why Microsoft stopped Media Center in Windows 10. With a few tweaks in tablet mode, Win10 tile arrangement basically does the same thing as a client gui and it looked great on my TV. Its basically its own MC. Would have been nice to break up all the features in Media Center and make them separate apps on Windows 10's GUI. I'm mainly talking about the DVR portion so i can just have a tile for it on windows 10. I wonder if there is a way to get the MCE DVR code now that MS has stopped the development.

Unless very aspiring and clever people can reverse engineer the code to be able to split it up which I highly doubt there is zero chance of MS doing it for your request.
