Windvd 2010 now stuttering after reinstall

I just rebuilt my Win7 HTPC and re-installed Windvd 2010. It had worked pretty good before the rebuild playing bluerays, but now the stuttering is so bad it makes the movie unwatchable. I made sure all the video and audio drivers are up to date and also that Windvd had all the service packs. Can anyone think of anything else to try? I know that Corel has a new version of Windvd which I may try if I can't get this version to work.

Try updating DirectX..are you up to date on all your windows updates? If all else fails Total Media Theater 5 works very well in Media Center.

I will try DirectX tonight. The Windows updates are what caused me to have to rebuild my box in the first place. At some point an update occurred that caused my system to shut down while watching recorded tv. Live TV and other types of media worked fine. I am watching more closely what Microsoft is installing now.
