I recorded a movie the other day, and the program guide showed its title as "To Be Announced". I've gone into the properties for the file and changed the title to the correct one, and I also changed the title in the file name to match. But, whenever I go into Recorded TV, it's still listed as "To Be Announced" (and there's no weird special characters in the title). How can I change this? I already downloaded the Edit DVR-MS Metadata app:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/toub/archive/20 ... 16874.aspx
and tried that on the file, but I don't see "To Be Announced" anywhere in the metadata. Is this something outside of the file, but within W7MC?
Changed title/metadata, Recorded Programs still shows TBA

If I remember correctly, you can try moving the file out of the recorded tv folder (while MC is open and recorded tv is selected - you should see the number of items reduce by one). Then carry out any metadata changes, then move the file back into the recorded tv folder and see if the changes stick. It worked for me when I had to edit some titles. Worth a try anyway.

A little late here, but here is the procedure I came up with to edit the metadata in wtv/dvrms files:
