thank you for looking into this garyan2.

Is this affecting all SD lineups or just mine?

Should I report this to SD?

Absolutely. Open a ticket and note it is the JSON server that is affected. I'm sure they'll have it cleared up right quick.

this is the response I just got from them:

I'm not seeing any issues on the server; there's a complete lineup as far as I can tell. When was the last lineup refresh on your client?

The GuideTool.exe is showing some weird issues with my lineup now....

what is the best way to restore my lineup without losing my scheduled recording list (shows and series)?

Sorry, I'm on business travel and am not setup to do some coding right now to capture the JSON lineup response and identify the problem. You mentioned this happened recently after 1.0.2. You could download a previous version of epg123 and login to see if the lineup is complete or not. Don't expect any difference ... I haven't change any of that code in quite a while.

no worries.. let me know once you have a second to look at this. Changing EPG123 version (downgrading to 1.0 or 1.0.1) does not resolve the problem. I am doing some debugging now to see what I can do to restore the lineup.
---- update ----
I was able to restore the lineup by restoring my C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\ directory before the issue and then re-configuring EPG123 1.0.2 from scratch

I restored my C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\ directory from a few days ago (used a windows image I had), removed the c:\EPG123 directory, reinstalled EPG 1.0.2 to C:\EPG123, and then reconfigured EPG123.

I believe that there was a JSON issue on the SchedulesDirect side which started this issue. Thank you for your help!

Hi, so does this mean we should select automatch on first successful run (if appropriate for our environment), but deselect it for the repeated runs?

I think this is the safest option. It protects you from any unwanted line up changes.

Obviously, if you do want to make a change you then have to do it manually.

I just checked your lineup again, no changes here, and now it looks like you have a full compliment of channels now. I suspect SD kicked a server to get it back inline.

The errors that are thrown are from the loadmxf.exe executable. I've seen this when there are some issues with the database and sometimes with malformed mxf files. How big is you database file? If it seems unreasonably large, then your garbage collector doesn't seem to be running/doing its job.

All depends on how much risk you want to take. Really, the only reason to have automatch on all the time is if you have autoadd on as well... come to think of it, autoadd doesn't do much for you if you don't have automatch as well.

thank you for looking into this garyan2.

Is this affecting all SD lineups or just mine?

Should I report this to SD?

Looks like I'm having the same problem, FIOS Keller, TX, lost about 90% of my channels with about 100 channels in the trace.log saying "Unmatching..." for each missing channel. This is with epg v1.01.

The missing channels are in my epg123.cfg and marked active but are not showing up on the right side of epg123.

[9/28/2016 2:30:12 PM] [STATS] epg123 update execution time was 00:01:10.9770597.
The errors that are thrown are from the loadmxf.exe executable. I've seen this when there are some issues with the database and sometimes with malformed mxf files. How big is you database file? If it seems unreasonably large, then your garbage collector doesn't seem to be running/doing its job.
My EPG123 file is about 92MB - doesnt seem that large to me....

Also, the same issue occurred again this morning - all of my channels have been removed from WMC :x :x :x :x :x . I reached out to SD to see if this is a recurring issue.

When this issue occurs, my epg123.mxf file is less than 1MB (because no channels were found).

garyan2, can we add a check to EPG123 to stop the loadmxf, ReindexSearchRoot, and automatch functionality if the MXF file drops by over 90%?

or as an alternative, we can have EPG123 check to see if any channels are enabled after the automatch. if channel map is reduced by over 90%, stop EPG123....

[9/29/2016 9:21:34 AM] [ERROR] Exception thrown from getLineup() to locate lineup with name "EPG123 Lineups with Schedules Direct". message: Could not load file or assembly 'mcepg, Version=6.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

any ideas on why it is no longer seeing the file?
This error could mean 2 things. Either the import was unsuccessful and the epg123 lineup is not present in the database file, or you are trying to run the Win8 version and a Win7 machine, or the Win7 version on a Win8+ machine.
