guide off on ONE channel by 3 hours on PC but not Schedules Direct
Had epg123 for years now. There's a channel I've never looked at before. Set a recording and it was off by 3 hours. Sent in a ticket at Schedules Direct (they are really wonderful and often reply almost immediately). They sent me the listing from their server. The listing is correct, showing exactly what is airing here. Nevertheless, my guide FOR THAT ONE CHANNEL, but not others is off by 3 hours. They suggested I refresh my lineup, which I did by clicking the circular arrow in the imported lineup and services. I confirmed that the channel id from which schedules direct generated their listing matches the ID for the channel in my system.
If their server is correct and what they sent me matches what I see on air, then they figure the problem is at my end. Other channels are correct. The clock is correct. I've run out of ideas. Anybody seen this one before?
thx

Don't know if this is part of it or not, but just noticed that when I was refreshing lineup I got a ton of the following in the trace.log
[5/7/2022 12:56:02 PM] [ INFO] Exception thrown during SubscribeLineupChannel(). Unable to commit the StoredObject of id 1C000000007FAA back to the ObjectStore. Initial revision = 0, previous revision = 0, current revision = 20

It might. What version of EPG123 are you running? The latest version fixed those errors which if I remember correctly, I created in 1.7.0.x. I didn't see it having any ill effect. This is part of the automatch routine and I was committing a channel update twice in a row and the second would give this error.
In order to see what you are seeing, I'll need to know what lineup and what channel you are looking at. You can verify what SD is telling you by checking https://tvlistings.zap2it.com/ and comparing what it says and what WMC is saying. If they are the same, and are 3 hours off, then the problem is with Gracenote. SD/EPG123 are doing their job correctly.

I had been running 1.7.0. I've just updated to latest and did refresh. That got rid of the exceptions. My machine agrees with the listing on zap2it which disagrees with what SD sent (but SD is correct about what is on air).
Lineup is charter spectrum USA-CA04600-X. Channel is 741 (OWN).
At 3pm PDT WMC showing House Hunters, Horses and Beer in Austin Texas. Same on Zap2IT
SD sent me what their server shows:

So according to SD's server I should be (and I am) seeing on air: Champagne Taste, but WMC and Zap2it has Horses and Beer
Thanks (again) for all the effort and help.

If it's off by 3 hours, there's a good chance that the channel that is in your listing is the west-coast version of the channel and you are on the east coast (or vice-versa).
For instance, there is an east coast version of HBO (HBOHD) and a separate west coast version (HBOHDP). The schedule is the same except that one is offset 3 hours from the other.

BTW, my trace.log only has data started from around noon today. It does not have a record of today's regular guide update (around 3am), nor does it have any other prior history (?). I saw you had unitentionally turned off logging but that was after the version I was using....

Channel 741 in the data is showing east coast time and matches zap2it. However, channel 118 is the Pacific feed so you could manually map 118 to 741 using the client to get the proper listings... this is probably what SD sent you.
So channel 741, station ID 70388, is the wrong timezone.
Channel 118, station ID 95746, is the correct timezone but is the SD channel.
Re: trace.log file. Did you install the latest version in a different folder?

Well, now. Never would have thought of that. I saw there was an SD channel and in fact there are 2. 84, 118 and 741 are all airing the same thing but 84 and 741 have the wrong guide in WMC. Is this something I should bother Schedules direct about?
trace.log is in c:\epg123, where I assume it always has been (?)

EPG123 will only let a trace.log file grow to 1MB and then will start a new one. There should be a couple more log files in the folder which would have histories before the current log file. EPG123 will also only keep up to 3 log files (the current one and the preceeding 2 files). Could be just coincidence that your most recent run was actually the start of a new file.

If you submit a ticket with Schedules Direct, and they submit a ticket with Gracenote to get it corrected, it not only benefits you but every service, provider, and user that uses Gracenote data. Up to you.

And I invariably say there is no such thing as coincidences... but that is exactly what happened.

Yes, thanks for the explanation. I've sent them another update on the ongoing ticket with this new information.
