Series setup gone

So at some point a few weeks ago 3/21, all my series stopped recording. I thought there were no new shows, but it seems like all the series are missing from WMC. Any idea how this could happen? is it related to EPG123 or something else? Any way to get them back?

I used the transfer tool to restore a backup from 11/20. Is there a better way or newer backups somewhere?

What version of epg123 are/were you using?

Use the Transfer Tool and look in c:\programdata\microsoft\ehome\mcepgX-Y\backup\recordings. The file with the latest datetime stamp prior to the database crash (loss of series recordings) will get you the updated series requests.

Thanks... It looks like there wasn't anything additional that I needed but good to know about this location.

I was using 1.6.2.2 as of 2/10/21. Updated to 1.6.3.1 last night after noticing the issue.

So this has happened to me about 5 times since april. I've made a few backups since then and each time there was an issue, did a restore. Checked series in the mpeg directory and then updated and almost back to normal. I'm pretty sure this is related to EPG123. Here is a log file. Looks like the scheduled task tried to run at 3am, SD wasn't responding correctly. Then it tried to run again 13 minutes later and failed because the db was corrupted.

I did notice in the Windows Event Log (system and App) that Remote Potato service crashed at around 3:13. Not sure if that had anything to do with the db getting corrupted, or if it was because of EPG123 somehow causing the guide to be corrupted. I disabled remote potato anyway, since I don't really use it much anymore.

Really the only non-stock thing I have running is RecordedTV HD. WMC on Windows 8.1 with 4 OTA tuners.
