Can't add sub channel 10

#1

Post by dxcc2009 » Mon Mar 22, 2021 7:29 pm

Our local station KRFT-LD has added a sub channel 8.10.
When I went to add it to Media Center it would not allow anything above sub channel 8.9.
I haven't upgraded to later versions since I first began using EPG123 slightly over a year ago.
I hate to take the chance of breaking it when it's working OK.
Is that what I have to do to fix this problem? Upgrade to latest version?

See here for adding channels: https://epg123.garyan2.net/tools/

Also, when it asks for "frequency", you want to put in the physical channel, which for KRFT-LD seems to be 21 (according to rabbitears.info).

I don't use ATSC (I have cable) so I haven't done this, and I have to admit that I am a bit confused as to what to put where. But I think for this channel you would use:

Digital TV channel: 8.10
Assigned frequency: 21

If you are unable to enter 8.10, then you may be able to use the EPG123 client to add the channel, but I don't have any experience with it, and you may want to wait for others to chime in here.

Also, I see you posted this same question in three places, it is best to just post once.

WMC limits the subnumber to 9... can't do 10 or higher. But, open the EPG123 Client and click the green '+' button and it will let you add up to x.999 subchannel number.

Thanks I'll try adding the channel in EPG123 Ckient, didn't realize you could do that without Schedules direct data available for the channel.
Sorry about the duplicate posts Green Button kept giving the error message, : "your post doesn't contain enough characters".
I guess it was still allowing the post regardless of number of characters.

Yah, anyone can use the client. No SD membership required. If I ever wanted to monetize my work, I could have done so with it. There is a lot of capability in it with backup/restore/rebuild/mapping/channel adds, deletes and undeletes/custom names and numbers/guide layout tweaks/tuner limit increase/filename format ... just to list a few. The Transfer Tool can also give you some recording request info and control.
