My past 2 attempts to update epg123 have been flagged by the detection of the eldorado virus.
Infected object:
epg123transfer.exe
Infection name:
W32/MSIL_Agent.BVM.gen!Eldorado
Why is this in the epg123 program? Why should I disable my antivirus simply to update epg123?

Probably worth reporting a false-positive to your AV vendor? Looks to be the sole outlier.

Is it Adaware that you are using? Doesn't get great reviews.

Ah yes, I misread the report. Adaware was the next column along.
Cyren used to make F-Prot, but that is discontinued.

I think the bottom line here is that it is a false positive. It has been a while since I've heard epg123 getting these, so it looks like paying the money to sign the binaries has worked for the cursed "reputation" ones.
