Troubling Issue after EPG123 upgrade

#1

Post by fuqit » Sat Jan 30, 2021 4:13 pm

Hey guys/gals

First time post for a pretty significant problem. I'm using SD/EPG123 with serverwmc, 6hdhr primes on windows 10 in a VM for years flawlessly. After updating epg to 1.3.8,and importing guide data, wmc lost tuner communication and serverwmc shows all tuners as disabled.

Now, I did a clean start of epg, resetting live tv etc, and the tuners show up, serverwmc shows all is well. I then download the SD data, save execute import etc. and no tuners, all disabled. Reset live tv it works but no guide data import guide data and tuners break. I can repeat this over and over. I decided to go back a few versions of epg123 to 1.3.2 and the same damn thing happens after import, tuners disabled.

I would be forever grateful for some assistance or advice to resolve this issue.

Why 1.3.8 and not the latest release (1.6.1.3)?

Sounds like your guide listings are not being mapped to your tuner channels during automatch and any channel that does not have guide listings will be disabled. Could you post a picture of the epg123 client so I can see the left side channels and the subscribed lineup column? Anything in the log file? What does WMC show for the guide?

Thanks Gary, I feel completely ridiculous. As soon as you mentioned automatch, the light came on! I did update to latest version and all seems to be working as it should with one exception, all station logos are white and I'm in the process of sorting this now.

There is an option in the configuration GUI to select the preferred logo type (light, dark, gray, white). Changing that option should get what you want. I don't know if you will have to have serverwmc reload the channels to see it in whatever program is connecting to it, but just a thought.
