Running version 1.1.10

I have been running the same version of EPG1223 since I started using it. I am using it to populate the WMC guide. It is doing everything I need it to do. Is there any reason to keep it current? I know that I will need to move forward when I move to HDHomerun guide data.

You'll have to judge for yourself. There has been some improvement in what is in your guide, but mostly updates have been for new functionality and reliability (of those new functions). The latest versions will vastly improve you update times and reduce the stress on your hard drive.

I will say, in the possible near future, everyone will have to update when Schedules Direct updates their API and retires the current one. I think that might be a bit yet, but haven't gotten word on when the current one will be retired. The new one, I believe, will be coming online in June? I'll have to see if that is still on schedule.

I am testing the new version on a Windows 10 PC. I like the new features. Can I run it on my HTPC from a different folder while still running my old version? I can't imagine why WMC would care but I don't want to risk breaking my main HTPC (I also have 2 satellite HTPCs). Once I am satisfied I will modify my scheduled tasks to use the new version (satellite PCs run EPG123 client).
Thanks,
Ed
