Unexpected Program Exit

This is a strange one. EPG123 starts up OK, but when the run enters routine getAllMoviePosters() it exits almost immediately with no errors whatsoever. See the trace log below. This has happened to me five or six times and began about the time 1.3.6.20 was released. If I wait a couple of hours and rerun EPG123 this error usually does not reoccur. So for now it's just a nuisance.

This problem is occurring more often lately. Is anyone else having this issue? Is this an EPG123 issue or a Schedule Direct one or something else?

I cleared the cache as you suggested and EPG123 ran to completion without errors. Thanks for the input.

I think you may have a couple things going on here which has hopefully been cleared up after clearing the cache.

I'm looking at your last run and it shows you had 0 cached daily schedules for 512 stations, and only 8086 cached programs out of 50140. I don't think you have been successfully saving the cache file at the end of the update for the last 17 days at least.

The getAllMoviePosters() bailing out may be a combination of EPG123 and themoviedb.org. On the next release, I will be reducing any TMDB problems to just a warning and not a failure. The only thing I can think of is that TMDB API response is invalid, or they are having problems, and EPG123 would flag it as a failure. With the release of 1.3.6.x, I am much more comfortable on letting those kinds of errors slide to pick up the missing poster art next time if we need to.

Scratch that, TMDB can't be part of the problem because it never makes it that far in the code. There must have been something EPG123 did not like in the cache file, in which case clearing the cache is the correct response.

For the other issue of not saving the cache file... could you post a successful run, maybe on 5/3?

Before I got to post the trace log for 5/3 the system in question experienced a hardware failure that still has not been resolved. At this time the prognosis is unknown.
