WMC windows 7 EPG123 install

All: I have a Windows based HTPC that I built about 10 years ago. It uses windows 7 professional with WMC. As microsoft no longer supports the tv guide, I needed to install a 3rd party tv guide. I completed the setup today. Here is a brief summary of the experience.

The total process took about 1.5 hrs. I first created an account with SchedulesDirect. The process was straight forward and I had no issues.

I fully backed up my HTPC prior to making any changes. Once the backup was completed, I started the conversion process to the 3rd party TV guide. Based upon reviews, I selected EPG123 and downloaded the install instructions and software.

It took me a couple of times through the process as I had never done it before. The instructions were very well written and answered alot of the questions that I had during the install. I was able to transfer about 90% of my recording schedules without any issues. I did need to make a couple of very minor tweaks in priority.

So far so good. Im able to review all my scheduled recordings and all my tuners (6) appear to be working. Ill update this review again in a couple of weeks to confirm it is still working but so far everything looks good.

Thanks for the support from schedule direct and EPG123. I love my HTPC and its still way better than a commercial HTPC.
