Not getting 21 days of Guide Data

Hello

As the subject states, I've been noticing for quite some time now that I haven't been getting 21 days of guide data; rather I'm only getting 17. Everything appears to be completing successfully according to the logs. Yesterday, I cleared the cache and re-ran the task manually and let it run during my normal window again this morning; still only showing 17 days.

Could it be that 17 days is all that Schedules Direct has available for my area?

I've confirmed that 17 days shows under Search - Title and if I count the days while scrolling through the guide on a single channel.

Thoughts?

For US lineups, yes, we are currently at 17 days. It used to be 21+, but went down to 17 sometime last year? I can't remember when.

For many purposes, having guide data that goes so far out is not very helpful, as usually schedules are not planned out that far in advance so you will just get filler data (read: incorrect data).

In some cases, in WMC, having so much extra guide data that is inaccurate may cause issues where that incorrect data doesn't get updated (at least that is what I've seen in a non-EPG123 system). This is due to a certain series of events that can occur in the guide update process that trigger a bug and don't allow it to be updated properly (it's not clear to me exactly what these sequences are).

I don't know if this issue applies to EPG123 updates, perhaps the way it updates things avoids this problem, and although I've seen Gary mention this problem in the past (and at one point someone was working on a replacement to the loadmxf.exe command to fix it), I've not seen him mention that he has found a way to avoid it.
