Removing a tuner

I had a tuner go bad, and would like to remove it, without editing the tuner sources for all the channels individually. I need to preserve the recording schedule. They are all for Series recordings that are set to Any Channel.

From my experiments on a test system, the following is the way to go:

Physically unplug the tuner (Its a HDHomerun).
Without doing a Clean Start, run Setup TV Signal, not agreeing to the Guide Data TOS.
Run EPG123, an do a Save & Execute.
Run EPG123Client, and remap the Lineup Services to the Guide Channels.

Is this the correct way to go? Do I need to reapply the Increase tuner limit tweak somewhere?

Thanks
.

Without doing a Clean Start, run Setup TV Signal, not agreeing to the Guide Data TOS. If your old tuner shows up in the list of available tuners, just unselect it/them before proceeding.
Run EPG123, an do a Save & Execute. No need to run EPG123 Save & Execute. Guide listings are still in the database.
Run EPG123Client, and remap the Lineup Services to the Guide Channels.

Is this the correct way to go? Do I need to reapply the Increase tuner limit tweak somewhere? Possibly, depends if your database has been 'rebuilt' after an error since your initial setup. If when you run TV Setup you find you are limited to 4 tuners, you can back out and increase the tuner limit manually using the client [Tweak WMC] GUI.
