Error Getting Guide

I noticed a couple of days ago that I had a red EPG logo on the main WMC screen. Upon digging into the log, I found the following error message:

[WARNG] Subscribed lineup USA-PA37979-X has been DELETED at the headend.

OK, so I went into the lineup for the 165XX area and saw a listing that said CHARTER SPECTRUM CITY OF ERIE... so I selected that. When it loaded it came back and said it was the PA37979 DELETED listing!

The only other listing available appears to be old, it is listed as Time Warner Cable Erie City. From looking at the lineup, it appears there are channels missing.

HELP!

Thank you.

Open a ticket with Schedules Direct. We've seen this a couple times in the past where lineups are falsely flagged as deleted and SD needs to kick a routine to correct it.

Looks like you should be good now. The lineup is no longer flagged as deleted.

Hi Gary,

Yes, it appears they re-enabled the channel lineup and that seems to be working fine. I have run into another issue... I need to cleanup the guide, so tried to fire up GuideTool, however it seems to be having an issue. The channel listing comes up on the left side, and appears to show all the channels, however the right side is blank. The lineup pull down at the top is empty and shows 0 lineups. I haven't been able to figure out what is causing this yet. I made sure to update guide tool to the 1.4 version of of your website.

Guide Tool does this sometimes when using epg123. What clean up are you trying to do? The client software can do a lot that Guide Tool could.

There are a TON of on demand channels and junk channels I'd like to disable. Yes, it can be done within WMC, but it is far more cumbersome trying to navigate than just scanning the list and un-ticking some boxes.

On the left side of the client GUI, you can uncheck the channels you want to disable. Even better, you could inspect the channel from even being downloaded in the configuration GUI.

OK, I just realized (it's been a long day) when you say client GUI you are referring to EPG123 Client Guide Tool, and when you say configuration GUI you are referring to EPG123 Configuration. When I read that, I was thinking you were referring to the WMC GUI, which is cumbersome to disable one channel at a time.

I wouldn't need to do it in both the client and configuration GUI correct? If I go into the configuration GUI and disable a channel, it won't show up in the guide and it wouldn't download the data either?

Thanks for the help!

Depends on if you have 'Automatically match...' or 'Automatch' enabled. If automatch is enabled, then on next update the channels that you deselected for download will have the listings removed and will be disabled in the guide. If automatch is not enabled, you would still have to manually disable the channels which isn't that hard to do in the client GUI (one method would be to sort by 'Subscribed Lineup' and then select all channels that do not have a subscribed lineup and toggle the enable checkbox).
