Same movie on different lineup

#1

Post by Kick4U » Sun Feb 03, 2019 2:33 pm

Hello, I've noticed that movies shown on different lineups are seen by MCE as different movies while the description and other showings are all listed correctly. This is causing two entries to show in the 'Movies Guide'.

While looking deeper in the mxf file I noticed that the 'Program id' & 'uid' are different for each lineup, but all other aspects are the same. Has this been acknowledged in the past and is there a possibility for a fix? Maybe a local database to keep track of the 'uid' and IMDB or TVDB entry?

I'm also anxious to see the ability to inject XMLTV files into MCE using EPG123. I can create the XMLTV that consolidates all the movies and tv shows from the two lineups so EPG123 wouldn't need to worry about this aspect.

Thank you again for this awesome software and bringing MCE back into my household!

Could you send me an example to look at? What lineups, channels, and movie. The movie id should be the same for the same movie... though Gracenote will have different id for the different languages of a movie.

Maybe Gracenote has decided to distinguish between a movie, and an edited for TV movie, maybe?
