Adding a new lineup in WMC doesn't show channel names.

Really liking epg123! Thank you for creating this!

I've noticed when using it instead of Rovi (or WMC itself to manage channels), that some things appear to be missing.

For example:
I like to create a named lineup in WMC so that I can easily have a lineup with just the channels I watch.

When I attempt to do this in WMC, it shows all the channels without any text. Plus, it shows over 10,000 channels, and I don't have 10,000 channels.

Funny thing is, it's not like WMC doesn't see the channel names. If I go to Edit Channels, it shows the channel name:

Here's how the EPG123 client looks:

I may be missing something in the right way to use EPG 123. Is there a way to have a custom lineup of limited channels that's easy to add/remove channels from?

Leo.

This is actually a flaw in WMC for displaying the channels in the Edit Favorites. The channel names are in a column whose width is determined by the first entry (channel 1). Since channel 1 has no name, then the column width is 0 and you can't see any of the other channel names.

A quick way to make this work is to rename channel 1 to some ridiculously long name so that all other channel names will be visible. Once you do that, setting up a custom lineup will be just like it is was when using Rovi.

Note the only way to not see 9,999 channels would be to delete the unused channels, but you will run the risk of needing those channels in the future if your provider moves things around. If you do that, and they do that, then you would have to add the channels manually in either WMC or EPG123.

Thank you for the information! When you say rename the channel, do you mean from WMC or from EPG123?
If EPG123, then are you referring to right-clicking on the channel in the left side list and choosing "Rename"?

Either or.

EPG123 -> correct, right-click and rename.
WMC -> Edit Channels -> select channel 1 -> Rename
