copyright protection blocks viewing protected cable channels
Can’t watch cabletv recordings on same PC it’s recorded on. Just started this morning. Uninstalled WMC, rebooted, reinstalled WMC same issue. Any idea how to fix?
Thanks
Thanks

Restore failed and reverted back to current config. Still can’t view protected cable shows.

I just realized I had not tried to watch a content protected channel live or recorded since upgrading from win 8.1 to win 10. Could upgrading be the trigger blocking all viewing of protected content channels on this PC? If so, is there a fix short of fresh install of win 10?

Thank you for the reply. Are you saying not being able to watch live copy protected cable channels is normal with windows 10?

It's been my understanding that Windows 10 (1511) was the last version of Windows that had all the necessary components to record and playback protected content.
Those that use that version use StopUpdates10 to lock it down.
