Windows 10 driver for unsupported device

I've been using an Avermedia AVerTV Hybrid Volar MAX tuner for 10 years without any problems. My old computer died, so I finally built a new one and upgraded to Windows 10. I installed WMC with the v8.8.5 zip file just fine (thank you!). And then I found out that my trusty old tuner is no longer supported and there's no driver for Windows 10 for it.

I tried forcing my tuner to work with a Windows 10 driver from a similar, slightly newer model. I then tried forcing my tuner's actual Windows 7 driver (via a superadmin cmd line) on Windows 10. Neither of them seemed to work (are there some tricks I don't know?). So everything else on my new machine seems to be working really great except for the one small problem that WMC doesn't recognize my old tuner.

Is there some way to make my tuner's Windows 7 driver work on Windows 10? Or to make a different model's Windows 10 driver work with my old tuner?
