Upgrade TV from 2K to 4k Video Error

Been using the French WMC V8.8.2 on my 2 K TV for a few years. Just bought a new 4K 3840 x 2160 Samsung TV and hooked up my PC to it via the same HDMI I used before. WMC come up OK and I can change settings and stuf but when I start Live TV or a Recorded show, it runs with garbled sound and jerked video for about 10 seconds and dies with the following error:
Video Error
Files needed to display video are not installed or are not
working correctly. Restart Windows Media Center or restart
the computer.
I've changed the WMC resolution many ways and also installed the latest WMC V8.85, but the problem remains.
Considering sending my 4K back and going back to my old TV.
Help?
