Hi, win10 just did a major update now on clicking wmc nothing happens, i used the uninstall option which appeared to work then did the green install all appeared to go ok, clicking on the new desktop icon just goes nowhere !

Which installer are you using?
If you aren't using the latest version, I would recommend downloading it from here: https://mega.nz/file/GKQx3aTB#1PY2AgBQh ... Sc5b2G1XhE then
uninstalling whatever you have and installing the latest version.
Remember to expand it to somewhere with a short path without spaces e.g., c:\utils.

Hi, many thanks for your speedy reply!
this latest version installed perfectly and runs, the only problem now is it does not appear to starting my TV card (BlackGold) it initially momentarily illuminated its onboard led so of course when setting up WMC doesn't find any channels!
I tried doing manual setup and the cards tuners were evident, but TV card led still not on ?
Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with that make of card I'm afraid and without specifics, I don't know how old it is.
MS did change some functionality in recent builds and people have reported older devices not working any more.
I assume you have checked for new drivers?

The card was working perfectly until the win10 update stopped WMC from working, i have removed and reinstalled card in device manager and its shown working correctly !

The setup data isn't available from Microsoft any more so you will have to do the configuration manually.
settings>tv>tv signal>setup TV signal.

Good news i tried yet again the card just burst into life !!
so now scanning channels, hope my epg123 still works with it !
will update in a moment!
