Upgrade Windows 10 to Build 1903

#1

Post by dojo » Sat Oct 26, 2019 2:18 pm

My computer wants to upgrade to windows 1903 from 1803, but for some reason it says it can not.

From what I read about the upgrade to 1903 and most of the information I did not understand, Is it best if I let it alone and just use 1803, WMC is running just great and I would rather not have any problems especially now with all the tv shows playing that we tape.

So my question is,,,,,,,,,,,,let it be and stay with 1803?

thanks

I think it's a personal choice. I stopped updating Win 10 around April 2018 and I'm still running version 1709 build 16299 which reached "End of Service" in April 2019.

I use Windows Defender and it updates daily so my antivirus is up to date and I don't have to worry about Win 10 updates corrupting everything else that works just fine. I'm not updating until I have absolutely no other choice.

thank you for the input

I think I will also do the same thing, " if it's not broke why fix it" ……………..

I wanted WMC from my old computer, it was dying so he just copied old computer to New built computer, a few corrections and some help from the pros on here and WMC is working great.

Thanks Have a great day

If you want a "set it and forget it" way to prevent Win10 from automatically applying updates, you might consider this post. viewtopic.php?f=97&t=12358
