Yeah I've found 8.8.5 and installed it - seemingly my settings didn't get backed up and restored so now re-storing everything. But seems to work.

Thanks for your help.

Looking to remove a version of WMC I installed in Mar of 2021. I cannot find the old installer and do not know what I used to install it. I would like to remove it and then use a later installer to put WMC back on fresh. Most of the files in the ehome directory are 2/21/2017. Does that help find out what I used to install it? I found an installer on my hard drive that was downloaded around Mar of 2021 labeled WMC-V8.8.5. Attaching 2 pics. One of ehome directory and other of the installer files.

I just remembered one important thing of note that I forgot earlier. I used an installer that was dependent on the dism installer method. Still can't remember the version though.

@whs001

I'm confused. The last installer that used DISM was 12 but that hasn't worked since Windows 10 Version 1803.

The file dates in your ehome folder don't tie up with any installer I have.

Why reinstall if it is working? You will lose your configuration and your history. Wouldn't it be better to wait until you are forced to reinstall it by an upgrade?
