How to search the guide?

#1

Post by bbarnard01 » Thu May 23, 2019 11:25 pm

My Windows 7 died so I moved to a Windows 10 PC and installed the new WMC. Everything works great except when I try to search for a program on the guide it tells me that it can't find it. Yesterday it said the index might not be organized yet. The guide has 12 days on it and when I search for things, I look for programs that are listed within the next few day. Anyone have an idea about how to index the guide?
Thanks!

Not familiar with WMC on Win10, but this may help:

Windows 10 has a habit of turning off Indexing (Windows Search). Search for 'Indexing Options' and turn it back on... make sure Windows Media Center is included in the locations. Click the 'Advanced' button and then the 'Rebuild' (I think) button to build and reindex.

It may take some time, but when it is done you will be able to search in WMC again.
