WMC won't install on Windows 10 1809

Tried installing WMC 64bit 6.3.9600.16384 v12 onto Windows 10 1809 and get the following error.
The specified package is not applicable to this image
Are the days of WMC on Windows 10 finally dead?
Or at least from this version on...

I was able to get version 8.8.2 installed. So maybe we're not dead yet.
But no Windows DVD Player included in 8.8.2

We can't install the WMC on Windows 10. In this, installed process many types of error come but we can't solve the error when I go to the technical support to solve the
error code 0x80071a90 which is best for me. it is really helpful for us. And my system is working very fine and good because they provide good information.

I also was not able to install my previous WMC (WMC_6.3.9600.16384_x64_v12) on 1809. But there is another way to install the same WMC version that does not use the DISM install, it uses its own install script. I was able to install that version on 1809 and it seems to work mostly. The download file is called WMC-V8.8.1_x64_by_T-S.zip, I had to search a bit but found a download link that worked.
I still have some issues with audio and icons that I still have to solve, but I had those before (on 1803) too.

DISM most likely has a Version check, since 1809 is newer then the original package it fails, hopefully the original author will update for 1809

I was able to install wmc 8.8.2 in win 10, and it is working fine. I used it for several days on winver 1809.

I'm having the same issue with my 32bit Windows Tablet. Can someone please update the 32bit version for Windows 10 1809?

Note that v1903 is coming out in just a few weeks … this will probably create even more Win10 issues !!
