Win7 VM on Win10 machine

#1

Post by SpencerC » Sat Sep 22, 2018 9:13 pm

Hello All,

I've built a Win7 VM using VMWare workstation 12 player. WMC is up and running for live tv. My problem is when I go full screen with WMC it just goes to a black screen. No sound, no video. I have to alt-tab and take it out of full screen mode to get video/audio back. Any ideas?

I thought that Win7 WMC supports DRM by default? No?

Installing multiple monitors did fix my issue when going full screen. I did notice that the audio isn't sync'd properly. It is very slightly off. You see the lips moving when someone is talking but the audio is slightly behind. Any ideas?

Sometimes having a lot of video processing turned on on your TV can cause the audio sync issues, particularly if you have an external audio system instead of using the audio from the TV. Try turning off the video processing (like that option that creates new frames to make it 120hz or 240hz) on your TV and see if that helps.

Thanks, the audio sync issues sorted itself out. I must have had a heavy load on the CPU at the time or something.
