"No Tuners Found" and can't find WMDRMSDK.DLL

#1

I just installed LTSB 2015, which comes with build number 10240. I looked it up and 10240 corresponds to 1507, so I should be fine there.

When I try to setup up my HDHR Prime, it seems to fail when I hit apply, complaining that ehprivjob.exe start because it can't find WMDRMSDK.DLL. I see that the former is part of the digital cable tuner discovery service in Windows.

Subsequently, I get "No Tuners Found" in WMC when I try to set up Live TV. I don't see a tuner anywhere in Device Manager, so that's probably why. This tuner is working with other software, including other WMC on windows 7.

Not sure if this is related, but file and print sharing seems broken out of the box with LTSB. So far, I haven't been able to figure out how.

I'm about to try a reinstall, but I thought it worth asking in case it's something stupid that I'm just failing to find.

Just a guess, but have you run the Digital Cable Advisor tool in WMC's 'Extras library' (discussed in the link below)? It's a requirement for using an OCUR tuner in WMC, making registry changes/adding necessary components. I have NO idea about how it'd work in the Win10 patchwork.

Download and install into windows DCA lav and play Ready

Also make sure you are using the WMC version 8.8.1 by TS

You need LTSB 10586

Thanks for the replies.

Crash,

Just to make sure I understand:

LTSB 10586 is AKA 1511
LTSB 10240 is AKA 1507

The version I have would be the older one. Are you saying that 1507 won't work? My understanding of the situation is that WMC is progressively more broken as time goes on, so it would seem the older version should work as well or better. I'm just trying to avoid hunting down v. 1511 and reinstalling the OS if it isn't necessary.

For reference, here's a chart of LTSB version numbers: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/win ... -info.aspx

I'm not sure what the difference is between 10240 and 10586. All I do remember is that most of our successful testing was with 10586. As a matter of fact to make the Xbox 360 work I had to uninstall a few updates on 10586 in an attempt to get to 10586.0

Re... the screen cap where I Circle stay away from the 2016 versions

Does anyone know what's the difference between 10586 and 10240, the only difference I see is 10240 is RTM

I would say you need ltsb 2015 1511. 10586
