No Tuners after KB3192441 update on Version 1511

WMC does not find my tuners after KB3192441 update. I uninstalled the update and the tuners show up but Windows 10 keeps installing it again. Is there a work around or is this the end of WMC 10?

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping that I wasn't the only one with this issue.

It happen to me also. found this on on how to geek: http://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-to- ... indows-10/

i should allow you top block a certain update. its a tool from M$. previous versions of windows allowed you to block updates that cause users problems.

Hope this helps

The best solution is just to stay with Windows 7 and use EPG123 and avoid this BS altogether.

Same here, kb3192441 keeps blocking my tuners, and uninstalling it restores functionality until MSFT breaks it again a few days later with the same update. "#kb3192441 ruined my computer"

The temporary solution is to go here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/ ... ce=twitter and download the show hide update tool. You must first install the KB3192441 update then immediately uninstall it. If you wait too long Windows Update will download it and it won't show up when you run the show hide update tool. Run the show hide update tool and put a tick for KB3192441. I don't know how long this will work but for now it does work.

I ended up disabling updates all together for now.

(1) Go to Start > Run > gpedit.msc
(2) Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Component > Windows Update > Configure Automatic Updates
(3) Select 'Enabled'
(4) Select your choice for Configure automatic updating - I selected '2 - Notify for download and notify for install'

Does this work on Win10? I have Win10 Pro and made the update with gpedit, but thought I read somewhere it doesn't work on Win10. Hope I'm wrong.

Also, Crash2009, I disabled Windows Update service about a week ago to stop that KB that broke WMC again, and last few days getting message "Windows can't activate right now...Error code: 0x80070422". Is the error because activation needs windows update service or is something else going on? If so, I'll try the other method to hide the KB3192441 update (wushowhide.diagcab).

Don't know, I was activated before I disabled the service.
