No channel guide in WMC 10?

I had no problem installing wmc on win10, but I can not get a tv guide to download.

There are at least 4 different directions our answers could go depending on the
exact version of WMC that you installed and what
version of Win10 you are using.
1) What is the number of the WMC.zip you downloaded?
2) Type
winver into Cortana.

I am having the same problem. Installed version 6.3.9600.16384_x64_v12 today on Windows 10 version 1511 Build 10586.318
The program is working great but says a guide error appears saying the guide could not be downloaded.

Look in the readme.txt or the workaround.txt included in your wmc install folder for the fix.

V2.1 is very old. Many improvements have been made since then, including the guide.
V12 is the latest, and is available here.

Read the first 20-30 pages for others experiences "and solutions". As well as the Readme and Workarounds help file.
