Ok. I did try running the EPG123 program as administrator, and that still didn't create any folders. Ok... I'll create a bug post.
Thanks again for your help tonight.

Guide Data Outage

Comcast user in Michigan here. My issue is that every 3-4 days, the guide will stop updating and unless I manually go into the menu and "start re-downloading", I will eventually run out of guide data.
I have tried re-installing from scratch, but the issue remains.
day 0: start download data and within 30 minutes, it is fully populated
days 1-3(ish) everything working fine and guide continues to be updating
Day 4(ish) the guide will stop updating and unless I manually go into the menu, it will eventually "run out"
Does anyone have any hints or suggestions, or is this just something I will manually have to do once a week to keep my guide 'fully stocked out to the 10-14(ish) day maximum?

I've noticed that my WMC reinstall (with Garyan's help) did the trick, and I'm back up and running again. Scary downtime though...
Thanks for the help Gary!!!

My guide listings stopped updating automatically for me about 9 months ago. Even if I flushed and tried to force a guide update it would fail. Only reliable work around I've found is that about every 10-14 days, I need to go into Settings > TV > TV Signal > Set up TV Signal. You run through the tuner set up discovery options and random whats its, then choose your tv provider/area and finalize. That will force the guide to actually update and pull new listings for the next 14 days. Works every time.

I've been meaning to make a posting about this very topic. I thought I was the only one with this problem but his seems to be widespread.
My guide has OTA stations from two cities, Milwaukee and Chicago. After a few days of downloading, only the Milwaukee stations stop downloading and eventually run out.
A friend has Chicago OTA and Comcast stations in his guide. Only the Comcast stations stop downloading for him.
To get the guide fully populated, I have to run the cd c:\windows\ehome\mcupdate -uf command and then things start working for a few days and then stop once again.
I've been sort of holding off until the summer rerun season to wipe the system and do a fresh install to see if that fixes things. The computer's been running for pretty much 3 years now without any attention.
