Recording games by Team

I apologize if this is already covered somewhere else, but if it is, I couldn't find it. I am using EPG123 and Plex with 3 OTA tuners and the SiliconDust Premium TV. I remember that a while back, I was able to record all football games by selecting the team name. Is this something that can be done with the guide from SchedulesDirect and EPG123? I would love to be able to create a "team pass". If this is a Plex issue, I can look there as well. Thanks for any feedback.

Short answer, "no, not the way you did it before." The XMLTV file does not support a sports team attribute for any program to consume. The team will however be in the sub-title of the program that could be used to do what you want. It would be up to Plex to allow "Record 'NFL Football' with "Chiefs" in the subtitle" recording requests.

Plex is able to natively do this when using Gracenote because the data includes fields for the sport, the visiting team, the home team, and the venue.
