For those that use mcupdate.exe with the "-uf" switch, be aware that if you have increased your tuner limit above 4, running this command will reset the limit back to 4. The -uf switch is a "forced update" of all WMC packages and evidently 1 of them overwrites the tv setup parameters to the original values. If you perform a TV Signal scan after running the -uf, or possibly scan for new channels, there will only be a maximum of 4 tuners available.

EDIT: I realized I didn't mention that using the "-u" switch, without the 'f' for forced, is okay. Now I have mentioned it.
