Guide data issues?

Cox Omaha, missing data past 10/23. This is affecting my WMC as well as my parents. I'm not really seeing it discussed like the outage this summer but it behaves similarly. If I change zip code and let the guide load it fills in. I then switch back to my zip code and some of the channels updated but not all. I know I should stop resisting and switch to EPG123...

WMC on Windows 7 on Boston Verizon FIOS crashed on me yesterday. When I invited WMC to start again, it warned me the guide data will expire in a couple days. When I did restart WMC, I got no program data, so I rebooted Windows 7. Same thing.
The guide did, finally, over time, reload shows.
I'm prepared for epg123 if needed but WMC has been free and a wonderful DVR replacement for DRM, and great for not losing recorded shows should a STB crash.
I happen to record to an external RAID.
Let's see what happens in a few days with guide updates.
