u have to refresh the Task Scheduler to see if it is still actually running. Or if the Green MC Icon shows in ur Sys Tray (sometimes it appears and sometimes it doesn't) then floating ur mouse cursor over it will show percentage done.

Just a reminder for some of you...

Updates happen in alphabetical order based on the name of your lineup/cable provider.

Last time it took about 3.5 to 4 hours from when the first Comcast customer reported the guide working again to when the first Verizon FiOS customer reported it was working. So from "C" to "V" can be several hours.

There is nothing special you need to do to get it working again, just wait...

Mine just downloaded new data. Columbus, OH with Spectrum via the task bar tray icon. Guide is good until Nov 2nd now. There is hope!

Just got mine to 11/3 as others have reported. I am in N. CA using San Fran-Oak-SJ OTA .

This is now the 3rd or 4th time that I see report hit here for Utah then I get it a few hours later. It really boggles the mind the mysterious ways of their support/monitoring of the EPG server - was it human intervention that fixed it? Was it response to our noise (which continues to diminish each outage episode) ? Or did it just fix itself randomly? Perhaps we shall never know what truly appeases the MS EPG server gods but we thank them again for coming through!

Hearing that the same issue affects Xbox gives me some hope that perhaps they will keep propping it up? Or is Xbox also on the path to becoming defunct so it won't really matter? Yes the once mighty MS is embarrassing to witness now...

Just did a manual update for over the air West Palm Beach and am good 'til Nov 3. Does anybody have any political connections? Maybe if a congressman or senator were to rattle Microsoft's cage we wouldn't have to keep putting up with this garbage!!! I'm going to see if Sen. Rubio might stick his nose into this. Anyone else with me? Especially if you're also in Florida.
I was getting ready to use WinTV8 from Hauppauge (I have 8 tuners: 2 single, 1 dual & 1 quad). It only plays back 2-chan audio, but TitanTV's EPG always goes out more than 2 weeks!

Saturday afternoon here in the Seattle area, Guide still stuck, no updates past Oct. 24.... Since some of you are seeing updates, I guess I'll hold out a little longer... Fingers crossed

Same here I'll have to see if I can fix this manually as it doesn't seem to be auto updating,.....

The "11/3" update has pushed to my system But it is missing the higher channel guide info again same as before.

" No data available "

Can somebody else confirm this is not just isolated to my system ?

The "ota" guide data did update, just missing the higher non ota guide data now..

The cable provider guide says its updated to 11/2/2017 but the data is blank after 10/23

Why on Earth would anyone thank Microsoft? They intentionally don't communicate with us. They let this happen multiple times a year, causing havoc and frantic attempts to fix which wastes times and screws up machines. This is irresponsible, plain and simple.

No update for me so I am again trying a manual update. OTA Detroit.
Moved to W10 and NPVR in December 2019. Bye.

Could you PM me details of what didn't work? The backup file is really just a text/xml file and shouldn't have gotten corrupted in any way.

Thank you,

Could you give me an example? My recorded stuff on VH1, Food network, History, Comedy Central, DIY, AMC - those are all set to record, looks like the right times and descriptions

Yeah the channels like VH1 and History / Discovery on my guide reverted back to the "no data available" after the 24th but the lower ota channels have good guide data till the 3rd

Thanks for checking

Spectrum - Cincinnati, OH
Tried manual update earlier today - no joy.
Initiated manual update this evening - success. Guide goes out to 11/3. Finally!
