Thank you! That zip fixed my guide on Spectrum\former TWC after earlier failures. Looks pretty complete! Much better than before! No automatic fix happened for me in 40391wigglebrother wrote:Guide data was about to expire.

Yes. Normally guide data contains 11 to 14 days. When it drops under 10 it means something is wrong.joeer77 wrote:People complaining that the guide only goes out 1 week vs 2 or 3 weeks. Do you really scroll ahead and worry about what is going to be recorded in 2 weeks?

I had two computers that had workaround EPG (changing the zipcode to West coast and back) but only one had partial success and the other had "No data Available" message until this morning. But afternoon, both of them had full EPG listings expiring on 07/25/2017. And another computer that is connected to the living room TV that has never did any workaround, had "no data available" until this morning. Now it has full listings.

Guide has finally restored for me as well. Northern VA, FIOS, W7 WMC. I updated today manually at 3:11pm and it was successful.
I was literally going to reset and move over to EPG123 tonight!

My guide data appears to be back again too...sigh, right after I remapped a lot of SD channel guide onto the HD channels. I think I'll leave it that way for a few weeks, until it's clear that this has really been fixed for good.

I was just about to come here saying that my guide still had no data, then I saw that more people had guide info, so I downloaded the guide again.
Then I had guide info (through the 26th)
Central NJ, FiOS - have it get info for FiOS Basking Ridge
Thanks to everyone who was emailing people to fix this

Be thankful Rovi and MSFT got the guide back for free like I am. We just had to put up with lack of guide data for roughly 1-2 weeks. You can use your smartphone to check local listings if TV is that important to you. If you hate Rovi and need recorded TV so much switch to EPG123 and get off this thread. Flame away...
Looks like there's an outage thread for every season since Rovi took over, and nothing suggests things will change. So either wait it out or jump ship when you get down to a day or two of data. You can set up a free 7 day trial account with SD and run EPG123 in parallel to get by or just take the leap and leave your worries behind. Over 1100 posts (one thread of several) on a subject that already has a permanent solution.

Charter Spectrum Roswell, GA (30075) got all guide data this morning. But listings are only good for 7 days.. hope we get back to 14 like before. Thanks all for the info and support... especially to Sugarfree for the work-a-round that kept me sane for the last week!

Wow, well this is interesting.
I have my cable under Charter Spectrum but when I checked the bottom of the guide menu page it had a provider about 50 miles from me, in Selma something OTA, which I never heard of, all of my channels filled in but the movie listed in the new guide for HBO now is "keeping up with the jones" and the movie actually showing is "the sweetest thing" which is what the tv guide says. Not every channel is like this though but some are. Is anyone else having this problem..... Will
This is just so odd .... don't you think- especially giving me a guide source I couldn't have selected if I tried and never heard of, as I said.....and the guide ends on the 25, this is after I redid everything, tv tuner and the like

something that I noticed since the guide has come back is that I don't get the "download lag" that I used to get after an update.
before anytime there was an update, the first time I would view the guide or view scheduled recordings, I would experience 1-1/2 or 2 minutes of lock up. that seems to have gone away.
I'll have to see if that holds for future updates.

1. open network and sharing and then change adapter settings
2. double click on your current adapter
3. Click on IPV4 and the properties
4. Change the DNS from obtain automatically to Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
5. Save and Exit
6. Open RUN and type ipconfig /flushdns
7. open an administer command prompt
8. change to c:\windows\ehome\
9. type mcupdate.exe -uf and enter
10. let update run and see if you get the same error
This would either be a bad dns address or being off line when the update tried to connect
