Can channels be added manually to the guide?
I switched to the Spectrum channel lineup yesterday but of course the added channels don't show up in the guide.
Is there any way to manually tell WMC they exist even if it is without guide data?

With epg123, if you started from scratch and use a CableCARD, then you should have 9999 channels. In other words, you have all the channels available. If the channel is not available from SD, then you need to be sure to not select automatch or it will keep disappearing from the guide (disabled).
For QAM and ATSC you can edit the guide and 'Add Missing Channels' ... but still ensure the automatch is not selected.

After I posted this I noticed that I could check boxes with no info next to them. So I checked the three channels that I knew were missing. I don't remember if I checked automatch. I'm thinking I did so I'll fix it tomorrow. I'm hoping Zap2It adds the new channels in the next few days.garyan2 wrote:With epg123, if you started from scratch and use a CableCARD, then you should have 9999 channels. @garyan2
I just want to make sure I understand the "Wake" box. If my server stays on 24 hours a day I don't need to check that box?

Correct. It doesn't hurt anything, but since you're on 24/7, that feature will never be used.kd6icz wrote:@garyan2

I'm just waiting for Zap2It to add the new Spectrum channels before I sit down and customize the guide.
I was a little nervous with the DOS part. Last time I deleted something through DOS for WMC it ended up screwing my PlayReady beyond repair. Had to reinstall Windows.
It's a headless server that I control through IPMI. So a lot of scrolling the screen up down left right through a Java window.
