Down to 9 days. Wish I could bump too, but MS won't let me see the page. Yes I am logged in to live and connect.prje wrote:Same problem here. Connect ticket bumped.
edit update: Weird, after updating my profile twice, it lets me see the page.

...and tell them to re-seat the power cord on that XP box that's running the guide data. It keeps bumping loose from the wall.

Last logons here in March and Feb respectively.Scallica wrote:Send PMs to JonFincherMSFT & KyleCreamerMSFT
That we have no effective way of reporting these outages annoys me even more.

Yep, but sending a PM automatically sends a notification email with the body of the PM.anotheruser wrote:Last logons here in March and Feb respectively.Scallica wrote:Send PMs to JonFincherMSFT & KyleCreamerMSFT

For a small fee I'd happily write them a script and set it to run as a scheduled task at this time of the year to automate the process. It baffles my thought processes to think that those closest to the product have failed to correct this issue.

Has anyone tried contacting Rovi to get them to notify their contacts with Microsoft? They surely should know the proper people to contact.

The MS guide data server is likely a 486 running MS-DOS. How's your DOS scripting knowledge?Venom51 wrote:For a small fee I'd happily write them a script and set it to run as a scheduled task at this time of the year to automate the process. I've got guide data through next weekend.
Since this is the summer, and we aren't recording many programs, if we get to the weekend without any new guide data, my first step will be to set up a few repeating recording rules to manually record the programs we are watching.
And, if it becomes clear the program guide data service is really gone - then we'll either shift over to EPG123 or take the plunge and buy a TiVo Bolt and a few Minis (and try that for 30 days).

As soon as I can work out how this affects my DVBLink backend I may make the switch to EPG123.

Damn didn't notice this wasn't updating as I've been out since Thursday. Down to the 7th for everyone?
Hopefully this gets fixed again, but I'm already noticing outdated/missing/generic guide data for talk shows like Conan and Colbert.

its working in Los Angeles for OTA now, i did a forced update in command prompt , probably not necessary
maybe the guide server got updated to Windows 10 by accident and MS had to roll back to keep the guide rolling

I have been battling with the two PCs I updated to Win10 and haven't been paying attention to my WMC PC (which I decided to leave on Win7). I remote logged in to schedule a recording for next week it didn't find it. That's when I noticed my listings stop this Sunday.
