I just set it up again from scratch and didn't see that issue. Fresh Win7 install SP1, no updates. Installed IE11, .NET 4, and Silverlight only.

I just installed this extension and all I get is the error: "The AmazonMCEAddin program has stopped responding and you will be returned to Windows Media Center." And that's it. Any thoughts on what's causing this? Is this app no longer supported?

Thanks -

- Z

Anyone have a copy of the April 2015 program update? I can't get the download link to work.

That's listed as Version 1.3 Build (28650)

I have been using this and very happy since the beginning... Not even my family complains! One request, and perhaps it is something I could myself, would be on the icons that have no images. Is it possible to populate the blank boxes with graphics like most of the genre / channel buttons have? That would really make the app look complete, and help my little guy navigate since he doesn't read much yet, but mostly goes by images elsewhere. Thanks!

Glad you like it - I'll see what can be done to get images for the remaining categories.

Just downloaded this and love it! Will this work on extenders?

Hello all!! I was just wondering if anyone else has run into Amazon Prime stuttering during playback in IE? If so how did you fix it? It plays fine in Chrome but stutters every couple of seconds in IE.

Just installed ver. 1.4. The major drawback is logging on at the extenders, with a remote, especially when you can't see your password.

His website shows that it doesn't work on extenders.

quick note from his site about the plugin...
12/12 UPDATE: On December 8th, Microsoft released an update for Windows Media Center (MS15-134 KB 3108669) that changes how Media Center opens URLs. With this update installed, all URLS open in Internet Explorer- outside of Media Center. This update is not compatible with the AmazonMCEAddin and I cannot code around it. If you wish to continue using the addin you will need to uninstall this update.

So I went to install it and on the download, MSE popped up and said it was cleaning potentially harmful material. I opened MSE and looked at the history and it said it was "Trojan:Win32/SpursintA" I was expecting to see something about mongoose.exe but not this. So what gives? Has anyone else experienced this?

I really like the AmazonMCE plugin!

I do have a question about 5.1 sound. I only get two channel sound from the plugin. I am getting 5.1 from my Ceton tuner and 5.1 or more from PowerDVD.

Should I expect form the plugin implemented in Silverlight 5.1 or is only 2 channel achievable?

I just reinstalled the Amazon in media center plugin a few days ago and didn't get the Mse pop up you did.

I started to see a “security warning” pop-up window in WMC when playing any Amazon content. Gives me the option to cancel or to ok. with Ok another browser is opened and the content does not play in the plugin. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I don't see KB3108669 installed, as I had it disabled prior. Is there a newer KB with similar "functionality"?

I know this is a old post.... Is there a Amazon Prime streaming app that will work in WMC ? Does this app still work ? I want to catch up on the Top Gear guys and switching to my Smart TV works but, is a PIA (I have to re-wire so I can get 5.1 out of it).

I assume it's just a URL, not an app, does anyone know the URL so I can add it via relaunch ?

I haven't tried this but if your able to use a mouse then this other amazon plugin might work. https://sharepointadept.com/amazonmceaddin/
If I can get tubecore to activate, and your willing to install playon on your machine, then you could have netflix, amazon, hbogo, and about thirty others all in one plugin

EDIT It looks like the amazon plugin linked above is just a later version of the amazon plugin for this thread. The developer says on his site that he is stepping away from WMC, and will consider handing this, and the Netflix plugin over to someone else. For me, tubecore is still the best bet for amazon/Netflix.
