Custom menus with Media Center Studio

#1

Post by lithium630 » Sat Jul 02, 2011 11:22 pm

I have my main menu customized with Media Center Studio. After reinstalling some extenders, not all of my tiles are showing up on the extenders. They are still correct on the htpc. Any idea how to get them to show again?

Google DSMMonitor (im unable to get you the exe at the moment). I got it off the original TGB months ago.
Run it anytime you notice your custom menus change or don't show up properly or after microsoft updates decide to remove your custom menues.
After you run it, sing out "hatters gone hate..."

Thank you for the reply. I renamed the startresources.dll file manually but it didn't help. I ended up deleting some of my changes and putting them back. Works now.

Yeah, I think that is the manual work-around, but after a day or two I could not get it to work again. I resorted to DSMMonitor and it works great now. Only every now and then I need to run it (I save it in my User folder for quick access). I suppose there's a way to get it set up to be run within 7MC?

some programs that aren't compatible w/ extenders will not show within the MC menu on the extender.

It's just Media Browser custom entry points. I've used them for quite a while. I restored them to stock and started all over. Works now.
