Not sure, I'm in Canada. Please read the following faq
http://www.ainslie.org.uk/callerid/cli_faq.htm

"In the UK, most people will need a modem that supports BT Caller ID. Some ordinary modems work with the cable companies' standard, but it's a bit hit and miss as to whether they can compensate for the slight differences between that and true Bellcore. Further info welcomed. The only manufacturers that have ever supported BT Caller ID are Pace, Hayes (Europe), and 3Com/US Robotics. "

I've got my iPhone paired successfully, but it doesn't show up in W7CallerID. Phone operation in bluetooth devices show as headset and speakerphone, music and audio, and sms text messages. How do I get it to show up in W7CallerID?

Ok got it to show up by clicking scan on the modem page but now my modem won't show up. EDIT: It's back now. The error in the log was

2012-03-14 18:22:50.0109 ERROR: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the port 'COM3' is denied.
at System.IO.Ports.InternalResources.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str)

at System.IO.Ports.SerialPort.Open()
at W7CallerID.Settings.aeQpZU5cC()

Now all is working....

Make sure you do not have another phone application running(like fax service etc.)
What kind of the bluetooth device do you use?

I use the built in bluetooth in my dell xps 420 (CAB200). The key to getting it to work, was getting the latest driver from Broadcom.com to install for bluetooth devices. It seems to be working well. I really like the popup on my media center when my cell rings! Thanks!

I was able to pair my iphone easily, installed the software ( server + plugin ) and was able to follow all the instructions with no issues.

That is until I tried to SAVE my settings and got a Unhandled Exption Error which will not allow me to save the settings.. Obviously something is up on my system, any ideas ?

Running Win7 x32 SP1, all other plugins work.

Thanks

I have a minor bug - workaround is to set some value in pop-up duration dropdown under "other" tab

That did it, thanks for the tip Sberghici.

Another question, this may seem trivial or even kinda dumb, but just want to make sure since I cannot get the popups within MCE, only desktop.

The first time you run any of the W7 Caller ID applications a Firewall window will pop up. Make sure to check off the
‘Private networks’ checkbox and click on ‘Allow access’

In the above instruction, what exactly does "check off" mean ? Select or Deselect this option ?

Regardless, i turned off the firewall and I still cannot get the popups within MCE, clearly I am doing something wrong.

Thx
Tester

Turn off firewall on both server and mce to make sure it's firewall problem

This is turning out to look as though it is a good little tool. I am going to make it a sticky :)

*Ponders what to do with a lot of stuck stuff*

I froze droid wifi development because BT solution works great on multiple cell platforms and no app required

I guess the advantage for some using Wifi (always on) means no need to have bluetooth on at all. If there was Wifi I'd use it instead to save battery. It works great by the way!
Thanks

I cannot pair my iPhone because Sprint locks down this feature (Blue Tooth modem) unless I pay them an extra $39.99 per month per phone. The only way around this on iPhone is to jail-break the phone. I don't want to do this just to get caller ID.

Strange, I use BT handsfree profile not the modem. I do not think provider is able to lock it because it's phone feature(designed for car handsfree communication).
Take a look at my iPhone Services:
