Separating the Guide from Video

#1

Post by corey13 » Wed Dec 21, 2011 5:29 pm

Hello, Does anyone know if it's possible to bring up the guide on a separate monitor while continuing to view the video on the first monitor? What I'd like to try to do is use a touchscreen monitor as a big remote control so I can browse through the guide and change the channel on the touchscreen while the video plays normally on the TV. Thank you!

I apologize if this is in the wrong area, this is my first post.

AFAIK, this is not possible. The alternative solution is to just buy a 2nd PC and use the Shared Guide Potato to browse the first PC's guide remotely. But I'm not sure if shared guide potato would work with the touchscreen. I assume it would, but I could be wrong.

Of course, I think there are some smartphone applications available as well.

Thanks for the replies! I will try out the add-in when I get home tonight. It looks to be exactly what I am trying to do. And that's really cool you are so responsive on the bugs and requests sccrgoalie1 (I saw you're already up to version 1.1.3). Thanks again!
