HomeRun Prime not detecting "(CableCard)" Tuners

#1

Post by thegreat3d » Sun May 09, 2021 1:24 pm

Hi,
On my Windows 7 machine. It finds 2 sets of the cable card
Digital Cable (CableCardTM) (3 Tuners)
Digital Cable (ClearQAM) (3 tuners)
WIN7 dig cable.JPG
On my Windows 10 Machine it only finds
Digital Cable (ClearQAM) (3 tuners)
WIN7 dig cable.JPG
I already tried going through the Digital cable setup and installed play ready. I also tried manually configuring after it examines my signals. I still can only get it to see the QAM tuners. When I scan as figure it only gets the basic channels.

Any help would be appreicated.

Don't have any experience with Win10, but I know from reading the forum here that CableCard tuners do not work with Win10, except for a very old version of Win10.

Time to switch to Emby if you don't have a lot of Copy Protected channels from your provider in your area.

Most of my channels are copy protected, are there any other alternatives?

WMC in Win 7/8.1 or Tivo for a more 'traditional' setup you're used to - or an over-the-top streaming service like Youtube TV
