Last night's airing of Modern Family shows as copy-protected on my system. Ceton, Comcast . . .
I also got an error message trying to record Jimmy Kimmel the other night, saying it couldn't record due to broadcaster restrictions. It did actually record but also showed copy protected.
Not a biggy as I don't need to watch it anywhere else but . . . shouldn't a broadcast network be copy freely?
ABC shows popping up copy protected?

Yes, the cable companies are not allowed to copy-protect broadcast channels. However, sometimes the broadcaster erroneously sets a CGMS-A flag.
I know there is beta firmware for the InfiniTV that ignores this flag.

This happened to my local NBC affiliate in March. Firmware 15.1.13.152 did fix the issue.
